Mini Europe: Final Conference

Veneto Innovazione attended the final conference of the Mini Europe project in Valencia (Spain) on April 7th, 2011 that was dedicated to the topic “Mainstreaming policies and funding growth SME’s in European Regions”.
This event, hosted by Impiva, the Institute for Small and Medium Industry of the Generalitat Valenciana, was an opportunity to present the achievements of the Mini Europe project and the good practices which have been successfully transferred.

Mr Jean-Marc Venineaux, European Commission – Directorate General for Regional Policy, highlighted the importance of cooperation between regional actors adding that “It’s valuable and profitable to directly involve the Regional Authorities because it’s a precondition for the mainstreaming.” Moreover, he stressed the concept that “The Good Practise transfer doesn’t aim to duplicate the good intentions, but also to compare them in the other regional context through a benchmarking activity."

Furthermore Ms Marie Lèbre, JTS - Interreg IVC, reported that Mini Europe was selected as “Interreg IVC flagship project” for the results achieved and the communication strategy developed.
The success of the project was for sure based on the transfer of the Good Practices as showed by Karin Maatje, Province of Flevoland.

The Good Practises (Summer Design Office, iCreo Network, Financial engineering and Summer Entrepreneur) were then presented in detail by the partners involved showing in particular how the implementing Regions adapted and fine-tuned the selected Good Practice in their respective regional context.

The presentations will be soon at your disposal in the Mini Europe website.
