Veneto Innovazione is partner in the European project ALPS4EU, funded under the INTERREG Alpine Space programme, with the aim of overcome clusters initiatives fragmentation and favour the emergence of meta-clusters through a macro-regional vision.
The project is started in September 1st 2011 and will end in March 2014. The official launch of the project through the kick-off meeting that took place in Turin 19th - 20th  September 2011.
The project will address both policy making and cluster management activities to:
1) build the framework for trans-regional clusters policies;
2) develop inter-clusters cooperation, moving towards meta-clusters;
3) represent alpine space clusters within EU initiatives.
Specifically, Alps4EU will map Alpine Area clusters strategic priorities, develop guidelines and proposals for joint programming activities, elaborate a Joint Action Plan including common funding opportunities for clusters, foster transnational technology transfer activities, promote inter-cluster activities for innovation, promote Alpine Space clusters at EU level.
